Engineered with the brand’s unique automotive technology, the JAECOO J7 SHS and OMODA C7 SHS accumulated a combined distance of 100,000 kilometers during the cross-country marathon, cementing OMODA&JAECOO’s leadership in global new energy, hybrid mobility.
The SHS is the latest automotive innovation developed by OMODA&JAECOO’s parent company. The newest engine technology is born from the parent company’s Global Hybrid Technology Standard Declaration and Open-Source Initiative, which demonstrates its resolve to lead the industry's safety evolution. The same technology is expected to power OMODA&JAECOO’s future hybrid lineup. In the Philippines, JAECOO’s J7 SHS is the first model built with this new technology, boasting the smoothest turbo-charged powertrain in the local hybrid SUV segment.
To achieve long-range high performance, the SHS technology pairs a 1.5T GDI turbo-charged direct-injection engine with a DHT hybrid transmission. When these components work together, they can generate a combined power of 342 HP, a combined torque of 525 Nm, 44.5% thermal efficiency, and 98.5% electric drive efficiency. The powertrain also efficiently uses its fuel and electric power sources by harnessing regenerative braking and optimized power distribution.
The SHS powertrain also keeps drivers and passengers safe on the road. Its comprehensive battery protection system demonstrates exceptional heat resistance, impact resistance, and waterproofing, ensuring stability amid extreme conditions. Its ultra-high electrical safety control capability also stands out in its class, particularly its 2-millisecond power cutoff function in post-collision scenarios, which prevents thermal runaway. Thanks to these safety mechanisms, JAECOO J7 SHS earned a global five-star safety rating from the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP). The OMODA C7 SHS is also built with the same five-star safety mechanisms.
JAECOO J7 SHS and OMODA C7 SHS Excel at Super Hybrid Marathon
From freezing cold to scorching heat and from high altitudes to rainforests, the JAECOO J7 SHS and OMODA C7 SHS withstood extreme challenges during the Super Hybrid Marathon that spanned and was participated by more than ten countries to test and prove the capabilities of the Super Hybrid System engine beyond theoretical parameters. The concluded marathon was one of the activities during OMODA&JAECOO’s 2025 Summer Business Summit.
JAECOO J7 SHS, the brand’s first hybrid model, underwent the Super Hybrid Marathon in April this year in the Philippines, Mexico, Thailand, Brazil, and other markets. The cross-country marathon tested the JAECOO J7 SHS’ ability to navigate various terrains, including gravel, mud, rivers, and grasslands. During the Mexican leg of the marathon, the model set a new global Super Hybrid Marathon record after it achieved a combined range of 1,613.1 km. This beat the record set in the Philippines, where the model drove 1,488.8 km during its Automobile Association Philippines Verification Test in January 2025. The marathon in Thailand consumed just 3.1 liters of fuel for every 100 km – a testament to the model’s fuel efficiency and stamina in long-haul trips. Lastly, the Brazilian leg of the marathon praised the JAECOO J7 SHS for its outstanding performance while in pure electric mode and quiet driving experience.

Meanwhile, the OMODA C7 SHS drove a marathon from Shanghai to Wuhu and travelled on various road conditions, such as urban and rural roads and rainy nights. During the marathon, the model drove as far as 1,457 km on a single tank while in hybrid mode. It also boasts a pure electric range of 121.1 km and a fuel consumption of 4.4L/100km, validating its status as a reliable and powerful sustainable mobility solution. These records are particularly promising after the OMODA C7 SHS’ debut at the Auto Shanghai 2025 Showcase, proving that its innovative features make it a potential leader in the hybrid SUV segment.

“Behind the achievements of our New Energy Vehicles lies OMODA&JAECOO’s relentless pursuit of innovation to innovate sustainable and safe mobility solutions,” said OMODA&JAECOO in a statement. “OMODA&JAECOO’s Super Hybrid System-powered vehicles are built to thrive in diverse real-world conditions. Today, OMODA&JAECOO is redefining new energy safety standards with its Super Hybrid System, becoming a trusted companion for global users exploring the world.”
The JAECOO J7 SHS and OMODA C7 SHS will be available in the Philippines soon. Interested buyers may inquire at the brand’s dealerships in Pasig City, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna, and Cebu City. OMODA&JAECOO also teamed up with dealers Autoflare Corporation and Carlux Holdings to open new showrooms in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, and Tagum City in Davao del Norte. These are located at A-301 Westgate Center, Commerce Ave, Muntinlupa, Metro Manila; and Carlux Premium Holdings Opc, Tiresmart Bldg., Tionko Ave. Cor Araullo St., Brgy. 10-a Pob., Davao City.
