VinFast Brings One-Minute Battery Swapping to the Philippines

VinFast
VinFast E-Motorcycle has officially launched in the Philippines, introducing a One-Minute Swap battery-swapping system designed to make electric motorcycles more convenient and affordable for Filipino riders.

One-Minute Swap

The system, developed by VinFast E-Motorcycle with V-Green, supports the Evo, Feliz II, and Viper. Riders simply bring their motorcycle to a swap station, replace the depleted battery with a fully charged one, and continue riding in about a minute.

VinFast plans to build around 30,000 V-Green battery-swapping stations nationwide, located at VinFast dealerships, partner motorcycle shops, malls, and gas stations.

Why Battery Swapping?

The system gives riders a faster alternative to charging. A battery takes around 3 to 4 hours to charge, or 6 to 8 hours for two batteries, while swapping takes about a minute. This makes it useful for riders who need additional range during a busy day.

The battery subscription starts at ₱439 per month, with the first 12 months free for up to 20 swaps per month. VinFast says the subscription model can also make the motorcycle around 20% cheaper than buying it with the battery included.

VinFast estimates that riders could save tens of thousands of pesos over five years, with total ownership costs around 25% lower than a comparable gasoline motorcycle. The savings could be particularly significant for delivery and ride-hailing riders who use their motorcycles frequently.

Battery Maintenance Included

Battery degradation is also covered under the subscription model. VinFast handles battery maintenance and says it will replace the battery at no additional cost once its health falls below the specified performance threshold, helping riders avoid the expense of battery replacement.

VinFast Feliz II

The Feliz II offers up to 145km of range with two batteries, a 90km/h top speed, and enough space for three people. It also has an IP67 rating for protection against dust and water, making it suitable for everyday Philippine conditions.

The Feliz II, Evo, and Viper were officially launched in the Philippines on July 31, 2026, marking VinFast E-Motorcycle's entry into the country's electric motorcycle market.
