BYD Cars Philippines has officially introduced the all-new BYD Atto 2, expanding its growing New Energy Vehicle (NEV) lineup in the country. Unveiled at the Trinoma Activity Center, the compact SUV is designed to make electrified mobility more accessible to Filipino motorists by offering a choice between a fully electric model and a plug-in hybrid powered by BYD's Super DM-i technology.
The new Atto 2 targets buyers looking for an affordable and practical SUV without sacrificing modern technology, efficiency, or everyday usability. With three available variants, buyers can choose the powertrain that best suits their driving needs and lifestyle.
Two Powertrain Options for Different Driving Needs
The BYD Atto 2 is available as either a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) or a Super DM-i Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV). The fully electric Atto 2 EV delivers up to 380 kilometers of driving range on a single charge, making it suitable for daily commuting and longer trips without using fuel.
For drivers who want the flexibility of both electric and gasoline power, the Atto 2 DM-i is offered in Dynamic and Premium variants. According to an efficiency run conducted by BYD Cars Philippines together with the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP), the plug-in hybrid can travel up to 45 kilometers in pure electric mode and achieve a combined driving range of up to 1,340 kilometers.

Every Atto 2 variant is equipped with the BYD Blade Battery, one of the company's signature technologies known for its durability, thermal stability, and long-term reliability. The battery is designed to provide consistent performance while maintaining high safety standards across both the electric and hybrid models.

The Atto 2 lineup comes equipped with a range of technology and convenience features designed for everyday driving. The EV variant features a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, while the DM-i variants receive a 10.1-inch touchscreen. Safety is also a major focus across the lineup. The Atto 2 DM-i Premium stands out by offering DiPilot Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), adding features that enhance driver confidence and convenience.

One of the highlights exclusive to the Atto 2 EV is Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability. This feature allows the vehicle to supply power directly to external appliances and electronic devices, making it useful for camping, outdoor activities, road trips, or emergency situations where portable electricity is needed.

Each model receives a ₱50,000 discount from its regular suggested retail price, making the new electrified SUV lineup even more accessible to Filipino buyers.
